1. Agreement
By accessing breakingintocybersecurity.com (the "Site") or purchasing any service offered through the Site, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Site or purchase services.
2. Services Offered
Breaking Into Cybersecurity provides educational content, courses, 1:1 consulting, community access, resume and LinkedIn review, mock interview preparation, certification roadmap planning, and home lab portfolio guidance. All services are educational and advisory in nature.
3. No Guarantee of Outcome
We do not guarantee that you will pass any certification exam, receive a job offer, achieve any specific salary, or reach any particular career milestone. Outcomes depend on your effort, study consistency, prior experience, market conditions, and factors outside our control. Statistics referenced on the Site (median salary, job openings, pass rates) are sourced from public industry data and represent typical figures, not promises.
4. Not Affiliated With CompTIA
Breaking Into Cybersecurity is independent and is not endorsed by, affiliated with, or sponsored by CompTIA. "Security+", "CySA+", "PenTest+", "SecurityX", and "CASP+" are trademarks of CompTIA. CISSP is a trademark of (ISC)². All other trademarks are the property of their respective owners.
5. Payments and Refunds
Pricing for paid services is provided by inquiry and confirmed in a written agreement before payment. Refund eligibility and terms are specified in that written agreement. The Site itself does not process payments without a separate written engagement.
6. Intellectual Property
All course materials, written content, video lessons, branding, and Site copy are owned by Breaking Into Cybersecurity. You may not redistribute, resell, or republish any materials without written permission. You retain ownership of any work product you create (resume, GitHub portfolio, lab writeups), and you grant us permission to reference anonymized outcomes for marketing purposes.
7. User Conduct
In community spaces and during 1:1 sessions, you agree to behave professionally. We reserve the right to remove any user who engages in harassment, hate speech, or behavior that disrupts other learners. No refunds are issued for removals related to conduct violations.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Breaking Into Cybersecurity is not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Site or services. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
9. Educational Content Disclaimer
Content on this Site is for educational purposes only. Nothing on the Site constitutes legal, financial, or career advice tailored to your specific situation. Consult appropriate professionals for individualized guidance. These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Kentucky, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any dispute will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Hardin County, Kentucky.
